In the Rural Tourist Info Center, led by the Center for Civil Initiatives, we commemorated the International Tourist Guide Day celebrated every year on February 21st. We held a work meeting with future tourist guides who finished the formal education programme for tourist guides within the project „Revival of Cross-Border Partnership through Rural Development“, financed by the EU from IPA IIb Cross-Border Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Young guides will help us to locate attractive tourist sites in the area of Barilović, Krnjak, Vojnić, Gvozd and Topusko which will be included in the virtual tourist map. Future guides will also create several tourist routes for the upcoming MMF festival in Gvozd, as well as for seasonal events organized by the Center for Civil Initiatives.
We are convinced that by the next International Tourist Guide Day, our guides will gain a lot of experience and follow the practices from their colleagues from Croatia and world-wide in organizing free tourist visits for students, retired persons and other local community members.
We wish our tourist guides a lot of visitors and interesting itineraries!
